While most of my friends and family are discussing what each of us can do in the coming months and years to obstruct Project 2025 and the trump/GOP regime, others are already queuing up to kiss Dear Leader's nasty hand. They are the cowards who will not wait to see whether the bullying and cruel threats become reality.  No, they are opening gates and gifting the regime before the inauguration.

I am like you. My impact will be so small that the government our deplorable fellow Americans elected and my social media followers will not take notice.  If I thought for one second that my opposition to the incoming regime would put me on a blacklist, I would still rally resisters and speak truth to power. However, my opposition will be nothing. I became a feisty old woman because I've looked above me at the stars since a small child and realized that my star was barely a moment's twinkle among trillions.  But that my absence could be missed if I tried hard enough to shine brightly.

Billionaires, millionaires, journalists, corporate executives, and heads of state are queuing faster than Baptists at a Sunday potluck.  They don't know that grandma Gaines did not wash her hands before making the gravy.  They know only that an assortment of free greasy comfort food is at hand.  Not one casserole is worth a nutritional analysis but, there is no sound more pleasing to a Baptist than "the yummy sound" that eager eaters make.  Back to the point. Who benefits most from this southern-fried banquet? The church elders and the pastors do.  Did you suppose that their priority is to feed the hungry?  Don't be silly.  The church elders and pastors know that this is free advertisement, that friendly fellowship will earn increased tithing and donations, that this is the quickest and cheapest way to get followers.  Feed the beggers.  Beggers -- a rightful name for the billionaires, millionaires, journalists, corporate execs, and politicians lining up at Mar A Lago.  Who benefits most from this pathetic display of greedy mongrels?  Trump, et al.

Silly men and women believing that they'll be spared the well-known bullying, threats, exposure, and isolation...believing that their gifts will be appreciated and their names added to an honor's list, believing (perhaps) that the new regime will in no way be as bad as is pedicted.  But the beggers were warned.  Trump and Vance warned them.  Trump's first term was a warning. Trump, et al, won't accidentally poison the gravy; it will be deliberate.

Putting aside that these first-in-line-to-pay-homage to the king are cowards, we must remember that their desire for acceptance signals their intent to follow orders. No one adores trump unless they believe also in white male supremacy. No one votes for trump unless they are willing to tolerate white male supremacy.  Eyes wide open.  These "captains of industry" are no longer the good guys who believe in democracy and freedom.  If they did, they would not be early to queue up for trump. We will see in the months to come who among them justifies cruelty saying, "I was just following orders." After they clearly volunteered themselves.
